Evolution of Touch
Digital 2D animation, 18:45 minutes with sound, 2022, performance at Mothership, Greenpoint, NYC
For a collaborative performance project with the artists Ezra Moth (dance performance) and Rolf-Maria Krückels (drawing performance) I created an animation on the theme of wordless communication. The film was projected onto Rolf-Maria’s „Drawing Machine“, a cube of fabric, which is painted on by the artist in a process of communication with the environment. The performance took place in August 2022 on the flat roof of Mothership NYC artist collective in Brooklyn.
The animation shows abstract forms that grow and divide like biological organisms. Over time they form limbs, connect with each other and continue to develop.
